LaserTV | Go Big Or Go Home

So you’re thinking about joining the Laser TV family…congratulations, you’re in the right place!

One of the questions the Laser TV team gets asked regularly is what size projector screen to choose. While your budget may ultimately be the deciding factor, your choice of your screen will also depend on the size of your room and how immersive you want your viewing experience to be.

Use our size to distance calculation to see which size projector you should get based on how far away you’ll be sitting from the screen.

Distance from screen

The “official” ideal distance between a projector screen and your seating is very tricky to calculate.

However, a generally accepted calculation to ensure that everyone in your Laser TV space has a great view of the screen, is that seats should be a distance that is no less than double the width of the projected image, and no more than five times the width of the image (the furthest person seated from the screen.)

Width of Projector Screen X 2 = minimum comfortable distance

Width of Projector Screen X 5 = maximum distance
